The Mini Dragon is our favourite 1.5 metre sailplane. This is a beautifully all moulded sailplane that rivals the quality and performance of sailplanes twice the price!  Very nicely made and quick on the slope the Mini Dragon would be a great addition to your stable of slope sailplanes.

The Mini Dragon has the RG 15 airfoil for high speed and lots of CF tow in the wings for high-speed aerobatics and DS flying.

The wing is equipped with flaps and ailerons allowing not only full trailing edge cambering but the use of flaps or crow for slow landing speed, excellent control of descent and glide angle as well. The Mini Dragon is designed to go fast, handle crisply and land slowly. The design of the wing is the very latest with curved leading edge and specially designed curved tips resulting in very efficient use of the airflow over the wing. Glide ratio is very high for an airplane of this size and you will notice this in energy retention in the climbs and the ability to do extended manoeuvres at speed.

 The Mini Dragon can be ready for flight in one evening of work. Just install the radio gear and you are ready to go.
The wings have the ailerons and flaps made with live hinges; the servo bays are moulded into the wing and come with moulded fairings. The V-tail simply bolts onto the fuselage, as does the one-piece wing.
The nosecone allows easy access to the radio equipment and is supplied with a wooden "keel" for attachment of the radio equipment (Fibre Glass keel available as optional extra for added strength). All hardware and instructions are included with the Mini Dragon kit. The fuselage whilst streamlined can accommodate any a standard receiver.

In conclusion, while able to fly quite fast the Mini Dragon will slow down nicely to thermal for those inland slopes and the all-moulded structure will handle incredible speeds and loads.
